As parents ourselves we regard child protection as paramount.

We have an acitve Child Protection Policy which consists of the following;

1. All Instant Images photographers and administration staff are vetted by Disclosure Scotland Disclosurescotland.co.uk (Scotland only) and Criminal Record Bureau crb.gov.uk (England & Wales)
2. Instant Images photographers shal produce official photographic I.D on arrival at the establishment where the photographic session is to be undertaken.
3. On no occasion shall a Instant Images photographer have sole access to the children being photographed, the children must ALWAYS be accompanied by the carer or parent.
4. On no occasion shall a Instant Images photographer take pictures in or outwith the establishment with the exception of the agreed photographic session.
5. On no occasion shall a Instant Images photographer drink alcohol, smoke, use inapproprite language in front of children at the relevant establishment.
6. Instant Image photographers shall always address children in a friendly and approachable manner, children must always be treated equally and with dignity regardless of origin, physical or mental state.
7 . All images of the children photographed shall be uploaded to the Instant Images website, each individual image is password protected (alpha numeric data). Only parents, legal guardian or relevant carer shall be given access to the passwords.
8 . On no occasion shall passwords be given over the phone or via email. The only way we will retrieve a password is via the establishment of which the image was taken, the establishment must put the request in writing to Instant Images (on official headed paper). Instant Images shall return the passwords in writing to the establishment with 7 days.
9 . All images are deleted from the Instant Images site after 6 months from the date they are loaded onto the Instant Images site.
10 . Should a parent / guardian request that the image/s of their child be deleted from our site they must do so in writing, (quoting the relevant passwords) and must enclosed their original order form (if applicable). The relevant images shall be deleted immediatly on reciept of this information.
11 . Instant Images shall not sell / loan any images to any third party (stock images, newspapers etc) other than that directly associated with Instant Images.
12 . All orders via post and ecommerce must be in the form of credit card or cheque, this provides a trace as to where the payment originated.
13 . All images taken and manipulated by Instant Images shall show children in a positive and dignified manner.
14 . All images within the Instant Images site are right click disabled to prevent unauthorized copying or manipulation.
15 . We always obtain written permission form the parent / legal guardian should we wish to use images taken for marketing / advertising purposes.
16 . Only official members of the Instant Images team shall have access to our viewing systems within our place of business, all relevant passwords are changed periodically..
17. All back up files of images taken by Insant Images shall be held in a safe and secure environment at all times.
